okay there is this guy near where i live selling a 1995 gsx that spun a barring in the bottom end he wants to get rid of it. i offered him 1000 and he said he will take it. is 1000 too much for it? i will get pictures tomorrow

it just needs body work its not that bad. it also comes with the complete engine and new coilover sleeves. yeah its a evo 8 ontercooler.

Buy it and drop a built motor in it and do the clutch while it's easy as hell to get to. Thats a perfect project car, hit it with some paint and man you couldn't complain a bit.

AWD shell's sell EASY around this area for $2500-3000 with NO motor and NO transmission. Must be alot less in your area, Or you found someone who does not know what they are worth....

Dsm's are a dieing breed gotta keep them alive. I plan on restoring the whole car. in a few years 2g awd cars are gonna be real rare and hard to get one

Maybe like 7-10 years from now. But I agree they are a dying breed. I love both 1g and 2g awd and wouldnt ever buy a fwd, not that they are not nice I just prefer awd.

I don't, I sell 5 to 6 dsm's a month which consist of anything from shell's, to fully built cars. I have 9 2g gsx's at my garage right now of mine. Trust me, I would not lie about a 10-19 year old car , i've owned 60+ dsm's, they're all the same. You aren't ''too far'' from me, So stop up any time !!! I'm actual going to brooklyn this week for a 93' tt supra to add to the ''stable'', if your close maybe we can meet up and chat.

As for the whole 2g GSX 5spd with no engine or trans, for that much... I do not know why you would not believe it? You then buy it, Buy a motor and trans for $1,000, And you have a running car for $3500-4,000. You can then easily sell that running 2g GSX for 5000-6000..

wow I retract my previous statement, when 1993eclipseGS said the gsx shells with no motor or tran in his area go for around $2,500-$3000 I believe him. I seen his myspace page and that guy has some SERIOUS KNOWLEDGE about cars. He really is doing big things and if you seen how many cars he has I would live in that warehouse

Back on track. Thats a nice buy for a 2g. I like another poster bought a 2g tsi for 2g flat and drove it a mile an threw a timing belt. Put a new belt on it and 2 weeks later crank walked. I still have her and im almost finished with it. As long as your not afraid of a good project screw it man i was never afraid of hard work an i dont care how many hours i have to put into it to perfect it.

Good find. When you get to rebuilding the motor. take everything and clean it real well. I used purple power and a pressure washer. Those metal flakes can wind up anywhere in the motor. There where metal flakes piled in my cylinder head. I take all the plugs out of the head and flush it out with the pressure washer as well.
