okay there is this guy near where i live selling a 1995 gsx that spun a barring in the bottom end he wants to get rid of it. i offered him 1000 and he said he will take it. is 1000 too much for it? i will get pictures tomorrow

Well after you offer $1000, I doubt any reasonable person is going to accept a lower offer.

i would go for it, i bought my gst for 2100 and then got crank walk a week later and did a rebuild for 2k. so i guess its up to how much work you want to put into it.

I've got a 1g 7bolt that you can throw in there so you don't have to worry about crankwalk.

I was going to build mine, but ended up with a built 6-bolt so I have no need for it anymore. If you're interested shoot me a PM I'm sure we could work something out.

i would still give the car a good check over just to be sure you kno what your getting into. trust me it sucks when you get excited about a cheap car that looks like its in insane condition and then later find out its not what they said it was.

Either way, In my own opinion and personal experiencs, You recieved a great deal. As I said, I never sold an awd rolling shell for less then $2,500. That means NO transmission, And NO motor. You can sell the trans for $600 easily, And sell the shell for $2,000+ and easily profit anyways.

definitely a good buy, but I got one better. I picked up a 95 talon awd that jumped timing and bent valves for $900,

$100 2g head
free timing component set
free Greddy balance shaft belt
free head gasket
$30 valve seals
Free T-25 was given to me after I traded the t-25 that was on the car for a Garrett T-3
$85 timing tensioner
$47 timing belt

and an almost put back together 2g awd talon with a 99 front end conversion! WHOOT!

I say buy it, its a cheap 2g not to common. The only dsm's that are cheap when they are broken are 1g's (most of the time). I bought my talon for $500 running. So I say its a good deal
