I have a 92 talon tsi awd. It's completely stock. What would I need to get around the 275-300hp mark on pump gas? Could I do it with a 16g? If so on how much psi and what other supporting mods (injectors etc) should I get? That's about all I want to make. This is my dd. I want good reliable horsepower. Hoping to get a job real soon and the mods will begin after I do the rear brakes and replace the struts. Thanks

Check out the upgrade path, thats where you should start, so much information there, and its here for a reason. Begin reading that, and we can go as you learn, once you begin to look you will find more than enough information regarding your questions.

First thing is first, job will pay for parts. Secondly, before you go buying parts and modding the car, do maintenance on the car above all else. A poor maintained car will just get worse with mods.

These are the things you will need to get 275 to 300 hp. Get a fuel pump, 190 lph or larger, an AFPR would be best with the bigger pump. You will need 550 or larger injectors. You will need a turbo that flows around 500 cfm....for a 16g, that will be around 20lbs unless the turbo has been ported or modded in a few ways then may take a couple less psi. I would strongly suggest getting a front mount intercooler. Lastly, you will need some way to control fuel and a better MAS. The 1g sensor will fuel cut around 16 psi on a 14b unless you get something to 'trick' the computer.

The other odds and ends stuff would be gauges such as an AFR, boost, and a pyrometer. If you want to go a little less restrictive, use a gm maft and gm maf sensor. You will need to upgrade your clutch to handle the new power as it will not last long at all if it is stock. Also suggested is a better BOV and a boost controller such as a manual one.

lastly, take to a professional tuner if possible...again recommended but not a necessity. The above set up (255 wally and 880 injectors with a greddy emanage) netted me 278 awhp and 312 awtq with a professional tune with a stock small 16g at 20 psi. Results will vary slightly from car to car as well but, this is the basics.

Remember that certain mods go together. Dont put on the big fuel pump until you get the regulator to go with it. Dont go putting big injectors in without being able to tune. Use common sense.
