Bought a car with link
But not sure what version it is
Can anyone help?

Definitely a V3 chip for a 1g but it could possibly be V3 Lite too. The V3 chips have the red PCB, the older ones are a black eprom chip with a label on them and on the 1g there is also a memory board.

Could very well be v3 Lite, but it is definitely a v3 variant.

Easiest way to check is to hook it up and connect. It will tell you what version in the device status area of link after connected.
