Hi, I have a '90 AWD Talon with a '91 motor and I'm putting on a new head. While I have everything apart, I want to do a couple mods like headers and turbo. I found a great tubular T3/T4 header, and now I need the turbo. I don't have the money to buy new, and an expert I know said that a lot of vehicles (including diesel pickups) used T3, T3/T4, or T04 turbos. I haven't been able to find out exactly which vehicles use the turbo I need and I was wondering if anyone could help. So far I've found that possibly 2.3L turbo mustangs, 1.8L turbo escorts, and maybe even 6.5L GM diesels have the turbo I need.

Looking at your profile and your post it seems like your new to this. Im assuming your car is still basically stock. Do your self a favor and just stick with the stock setup or 16g upgrade. Those t3 ford turbos are so huge and are not gonna flow that much. And a holset turbo with no mods is not gonna work either.

Thanks for the advice,
I'm also a newbie here

Look at holset turbos. They will bolt right up if you get one with a t3 flange. They are on Dodge Turbo Diesels.

What year of Dodge diesels?

they make flange adapters & diffrent exhaust housings FOR THE STOCK TURBO,

almost any diesel will have a t3, but you will also need a O2 housing, and other parts...the easyst^^^^

do you know what kind and year of diesel trucks use T3s? Its kinda hard going looking for a diesel turbo considering almost every diesel is turbocharged

The cummins hasnt changed much over the years. They went from 12valve to 24 valve and added an intercooler. Shoot for late 90's or 2000-2003

Thats just a hunch from being in the parts business for a few years

well I found a turbo off a 2001 Cummins. its a Holset HX35 turbo. will that match up to my T3/T4 tubular headers?? and how much work would it take to match up all the fittings on my Talon
