what type of engine oil

I have a 98 gsx and noticed that it is leaking oil from somewhere. So I checked the oil and it was a little low....

I just got this car, any idea what kind of oil is in it? I want to top it off before I go get the oil changed..

If you're not sure what was in there, I would just go ahead and change it. As for which type/brand, please search the forum and read through FAQ, this has been answered too many times already in the past.
