Ok guys i'm back again,and after hours of reading i want a few opinions from fellow dsmers.i'm debating on my next upgrade choice. do i either get a forced performance cold air intake,convert to a 2g MAF,or go with hardened intercooler piping? and before anyone asks i have all the free mods and a boost controller with no cat and a ricer muffler with a hacked 1g maf. all input will be appreciated ty
 
Id skip the hard pipes, because your going to want a fmic real soon. The 2g maf and 550cc injectors are nice upgrade. Id go that route, as long as you have a logger.

Edit: On the 1g's 2g maf and 550cc's match pretty well. The 2g maf reads lower when used on a 1g. No tuning "needed" right away. Id still watch the logs though.

Honestly though, id look into running Jackal and speed density. Great tuner and you can ditch the maf all together. Plus intake options are super cheap with SD, for example i use an $18 intake pipe from cxracing.

Get an intake pipe from ebay, it's just a pipe but get a good filter like k&n. Also I made the mistake of getting hard intercooler pipes, just go with a fmic setup. Pipes are kind of a waste of money unless you plan on staying under 15psi on the stock turbo.
 
Um everyone post good stuff like intakes injectors but you will need tuning for that.Just do all your maintanance and get ecmlink.Everything after that is all fun once you have those 2 things done you can do endless stuff to your car bigger injectors run speed denisty get rid of those ugly mafs like the 1g 2g maf and even the gm mafs.For cheap I guess you can just do a 3 inch exhaust.
 
Get the how to build max performance 4g63t book and set a goal then go from there. If you want monster power hard pipes and 2g mafs would just be throwing money away if you plan on going bigger anyway. Exhaust is one of the few things you'd change later on except the downpipe.
