I have a 1g gsx. It has a 2g mas, 550 injectors, 190 walbro, stock turbo, data logger, boost gauge, soon to install MBC, crushed BOV, and s-afc. I don't have a wideband or a a-fpr.

What am I going to need to do to the safc to get it running perfect? What am I going to be looking for on the fuel trims to tell how rich or lean I am running?

How much boost should I run to keep it in a safe limit and what spark plugs should I use 6's or 7's? Any help is appreciated, thank you.

For a "proven member", you have a lot of newbie questions. Try the search button pal.:thumb: All the "need to install" parts are what you need by the way. Plus, your gonna need that wideband and a AFPR to bring it all together.

"Proven Member" merely denotes that he has met the minimum requirements for full membership on the site: 30 tech posts and a month as a member. It does not indicate knowledge of the DSM platform, tuning, parts, racing, etc.

Since this is a fairly direct question in the appropriate forum, please answer questions as best you can without going off-topic. Thank you.

Cool thanks for all the info and the site doubleclutch99. I understand I need a wide band but for right now for this setup, the 550's injectors and 2g mas has it running pretty much like stock so I shouldn't have to adjust the s-afc much at all right?

Is a wideband really needed with this setup it's seems a little over the top for a mostly stock setup. I had a talon with the same setup on a evo3 b16g, only used a AFC and a A/F ratio gauge got it tune perfect. Just don't run lean lean is bad that how I did it. I would say once you start to go a little bigger the need for a wideband will be necessary. others will say differently also I would go with a walbro 255 and a A/F over just a wideband. If anything good luck on tuning it is the worst part about having these cars LOL.

AF guage is nothing but a blinking light show. Its impossible to get a perfect tune without a wbo2 since you just guessing. IMO the first mods should me a good EMS and then a WBO2. You can make more power on a retune with a stock car than you could adding a new turbo, exhaust, intake without a tune.
