alright thanks for the help and ya i am getting a ton of errors what would be causing the errors? and i'll do a pull later and post it up on here for you to look at. right now im going to go read your write up:thumb:

Errors are caused by having the interbyte and interpacket delays too low. Basically you're sending information requests to the ECU faster than it can respond. Watch the error count and adjust both values up a couple clicks until you don't get any errors for 60 seconds.

ok sounds good. and after reading your write up why did they come up with the safc just to fool the ecu about how much air is coming in. instead why didn't they just make a fuel control so that you can adjust ipw and leave the air alone and just add and take fuel directly? that seems easier to me but what do i know.

For a tuning solution try checking out getting an Eprom burner/emulator and downloading Tuner Pro RT... There is a lot of support on dsm-ecu : DSM-ECU Most of the ECU disassembly has been done to the 1g's E931 ECU but there is still a lot of support for the 2g's EB23e also. You can pretty much do all if not more of the things DSMlink can do for a fraction of the cost. It takes some work but it's worth it in the end.

so i can get a used safc for 130 right now but i just don't know if i should spend the money on that or if you think that i should just wait and get dsmlink even tho i don't know hardly anything about tuning yet what do you think? safc good enough fro 650's and a fp t28

The DSMLink will give a broader range of tuning than the SAFC. I'd go with the DSMLink, than your not spending money twice. When you get the DSMLink you can access their forums and there is a ton of support and others have posted their maps so you can compare. You will start to understand how to tune once you get the link and start playing with it. There's nothing to fear.

Get a wideband O2 aswell.

That really depends on your financial situation, which is none of my business. If you can afford DSMLink and an EPROM ECU, that's the way to go. If not, the SAFC will be fine with the 650cc injectors. I ran that way for years until I was able to talk the wife into DSMLink. Well, actually, I just bought a copy and told her about it later. Suprisingly, she didn't care.

Thats because you lied or didnt tell her about the price. My wife wont let me upgrade to dsmlink either. A SAFC will work great with 650's. Im running a safc/maf-t setup with 1200cc injectors and see 22* max timing at about 5500 rpm. Not bad for running such large injectors. E85 loves the timing and boost.

alright i got the fp t28 installed and my fmic, and mbc. i did a couple of pulls and it feels weird, when i start going along it starts building boost but it does not feel like i have any boost until it hits about 6 psi, then it pulls pretty hard to 15 psi. thats just when im accelerating lightly not wot. then wot it'll hit 15psi as soon as i hit the gas then drop to about 12psi in about 1 second. also i noticed my stft is about 0 when cruising and about -5 at wot.

yes i did on today found quite a few that are fixed now. i still have one where the intercooeler pipe connects to my intake manifold because i can't get the lower right nut on. the bend on the pipe is to sharp so its reall close to the bolt so i don't have any room to put the bolt on. any ideas? and do you think 14-15 psi is safe for stock fuel? for about a month or should it be lower till i get fuel mods.

I'll admit that I don't know anything about wiring an AFC. Maybe if you do it right like Jay described it will turn out alright, but also consider the uninstallation process. I only threw in my two cents because I bought the car used, with AFC "uninstalled" and didn't like it very much.

No, it's really easy. I used the vampire taps for everything but the MAS wire. So it's a matter of removing the taps and re-soldering the MAS wire back together. It took me about a half an hour to pull the SAFC and get everything buttoned back up again.
