what to do

I recently removed my carbon canister and plugged the line from the tank...at the time i wasnt sure if that was the right thing or not....just didnt want fumes under the hood.,..today i went to get gas and there was alot of presure in the tank...there should be around 3-4psi but this was like 10psi. ..should i let that line vent or leave it plugged??? not to sure.... help!!!!

It would have been best to leave the cannister, but I suppose that's not worth saying at this point.
There's a relief valve on the tank. You should be okay.
