Ok I discovered when my car is running it drops this soot type crap outta the tail pipe.....i mean u can watch it fall off the tip as the car idles....any clue what it is and why???

How does it smell? Is it kind of greasy/oily or like normal water?

I guess it's just water that condensed and now drops down your exhaust tip including some soot particles.

always or just cold start ups? Mine does that a little bit on cold starts.. Its just condensation setting in the tail pipe then exhaust pressure pushing it out.. Shouldnt be anything to worry about.

Moisture is a byproduct of a combustion engine so you should be fine.

AHHHHHHHH you guys are right my moms 200 does the same shit.....hahaha i was really panicking bout it ...ive never noticed it on any of my other cars....but dsms arent like other cars so i was worried...thanks bros

Mine does it too it's the moisture plus carbon build up. 3" turbo back.

Yeah my old 2g did it pretty bad because it had a 3 in dp no cat and a down turn by the back tires . I think the lack of a cat only makes it worse. Glad you got it figured out though.
