I was racing a porsche boxter S on a main road in my town, and at around 5500 rpms my boost spiked from 14 lbs up to 22psi... My head got stuck in the seat.... i have an Apex-i avc-r that is set to 16psi, but what would make the boost spike like that...? Hey at least i destroyed a car that's retail is 4x-5x mine... help me out here!

Possible stuck wastegate actuator. I've heard this story a few times, but it usually goes like "all of a sudden my car was real fast, the boost gauge was pegged and there was a loud bang and it quit running"...

I would guess that the solenoid for the avc-r is on its way out. Has it done it since the rce or was it a 1 time thing? If it does it again, I would just get an mbc and sell the ebc. Thats the reason why I run an mbc. I usually run 23-24 psi on street, pump gas so could you immagine the boost levels and damage I might incur if I had an ebc solenoid stick?
