1G What the hell did I break?

Was doing a hard launch off the 2 step and it lit up the cold tires and then it popped out of gear. Now when I boost in the lower gears it just revs like a bad clutch but in the higher gears it seems to hold the power. It goes into gear fine and from a dead stop it doesnt seem like the clutch is bad. It takes off fine but once it starts to spool it just slips but not in the higher gears so I dont think its the clutch...Im thinking center diff maybe? Its dark and cold so I can really see anything, but it drove me home fine. Any help would be great

Did you check if your shifter linkage is broken. That sounds like the same thing that happened to my celica. Does the gearbox feel really loose? But most likely its your clutch.

It sounds to me like your viscous coupler died.

I wa thinking the coupler or center diff too. The linkage is fine.

Viscous coupler, I've killed enough of those to know.

Well last night I couldnt see shit but today I crawled under there and checked the rear axles. Drivers side is broke inside the diff, so its an easy fix. I got a 4 bolt setup just waiting to go in....NICE
