Resolved What the heck is this bracket for?

Its on the front of the engine block right by the turbo. I have no idea what its for. Maybe where one of the stock heat sheilds bolts up?

Hahahahahaha, I was just out workin on my car last week and was pondering the exact same thing. Mine is only held on by one bolt and is loose, so I was wondering wtf it was for...... :laugh:

Those things are omitted from aftermarket exhausts. When you buy one of those pretty stainless headers, all the weight is supported by the header and it cracks!
