I'm rebuilding my 1990 talon tsi awd and was calling around for awd trans. prices and availability, and was asked what spline I need, I believe it was either 20 or 21, and I came across an awd trans. with 23 spline... Exactly what trans spline do I need? How do I determine this? Thanks.
 
If you have an original 90 tranny you need a 22 spline shaft. You can change the output shaft easy with about an hours of work.
