Windsor,
I have a problem, I have blown my transmission and need to know which one i have.
I have been told by many transmission dealers that it can be 21 22 or 23 spline, how do i know what one it is. are there markings on the tranny case? can i find it through the vin number? I have a 93 Talon Tsi AWD 5 speed.

P.s. I did look through other forums, but didn't quite help me.

All 1990s and early '91s are 22spline. Late 1991s-1994 are 23spline.

There are also shifter differences btw the 1990 and 91-94, so your best bet is to get a 92-94 tranny, or find a '91 and count the splines on the output shaft (the one that engages the x-fer case) :dsm:
