So the time has come for me to order my turbo. I have decided on going with godspeed t3. I am leaning towards the :48 ar. I'm not looking to have super power. I just want some more hp for my dd.

My question is will this :48 ar suffice or should I step up to a :57 ar?

My plans are dd with occasional mountain pass spirited driving. I never hit any rpm over 6k.

What are your guys' thoughts?

IMO .48 is small, what size are you running now? With the .48 turbo you will almost ALWAYS be in boost just because of how quick it spools, your MPG's will drop a LOT because of this as well. i would say a T3 .57 would be a fun turbo.

Good point about always being in boost. I want to save my milage but my main concern is lag. When I do drive in the mountains I have a lot of on off throttle. Plus driving around town with my boost gauge my engine is in vaccum so my throttle amount is low.

Meh, I'm sure he is talking about something like this....

or

T3T4 turbo charger .57ar ( polished compressor housing)

I understand what you are saying but he is just not being exact with the wording....I still get what he means by it.

I wouldn't even bother with that, they offer a warranty but only if a certified mechanic installs it. And i wonder if they would even honor the warranty if you did.

Around here a lot of 240 guys in the drift scene are running these. With decent reviews too.

Soo all egay flaming aside I'm trying to find out some serious info. Will the 48ar be able to hold 8psi till 6k rpms? I know there is no flow charts but does it sound like it can? I need some serious help not egay flaming thanks.

Just about any turbo you would actually think of putting on your car could hold 8psi to redline, nevermind 6k. If thats all you are worried about then sure, run it

Why not just put a rebuilt 14b on, there's no reason for a bigger turbo if you are only running 8 psi

A 13g would have amazing spool and sell for practically nothing but the 14b will give more over all power and have more lag.

If you are looking for more lag then go for the 14b but if you want to be able to have decent throttle response go with the 13g. Just remember to lay off the throttle when you want to save gas.

The manny I have has a t3 flange. Since the. 48 will hold boost im going to go with that. Thx
