what should i do first to my car

i just got a 96 tsi awd it has a boost controller and is pushing 16psi. it has 117000 miles on it but I'm not sure what i should get for it first. i don't want to spend a lot of money on parts and then it goes and breaks down or something. i want to get a new intake on it and BOV but I'm not sure if that will mess anything up or not.

Unless you have a receipt from the previous owner showing a recent timing belt, water pump, and timing components change that should be the first thing you do.

Your car is supposed to get a new timing belt at 60,000 and 120,000 miles so if it is on schedule you are due.

+1 on timing belt components. As well change the oil, and filter. Also replace spark plugs. On these cars its important to properly maintain your car before you start modding it.

Yes it will, all modifications that fit the 95-99 GSX will fit a 95-98 TSi AWD.

A new intake wont mess anything up just make sure you dont get a crappy ebay one. and one of the most efficient BOV you can get for our cars are the Greddy bov. dnt get an HKS because they send pressure back to the turbo. if you dnt believe me call road race engineering and ask them your self. or just go to their website and you might wonder why they dnt sell a HKS for our cars.
