what should I do about the crank?

Im in the process of building up my 6 bolt, so far i have the eagle h beam rods, arp head studs, rebuilt head,and looking for a good deal on either ross or wiseco .20 over pistons. My question is about getting a crank, how much do stock cranks cost versus a butcher crank? whats best for my application?

Either way it's gonna be pricey. check out all the vendors on this site. a number of them have cranks. The FFWD "butchered" crank is gonna be expensive, but it's a good piece. It's what I've got. But most places that do engine work these days offer the knife-edging process for usually about 200-300 dollars on top of the crank price. FFWD just takes a different aerodynamic approach. (and balances them to 12,00 rpm ) and 7lbs of weight is a LOT at the crank. hope it helps. I'd post links to the parts, but some of the vendors that i know carry them i don't particularly want to support, and since i can't badmouth them, i shouldn't give them business either.
