What o2 housing is better?

Agreed. Unless you need something special from the part, just get one from ebay. My ebay exhaust stuff fit sort of okay, but if you are modding you should be used to making things fit that aren't really supposed to. :D

Punishment racing has them for a little cheaper on the stainless ones..And even cheaper yet for mild steel.. Eclipse/Talon/Laser - o2 Housings - Punishment Racing

Also yes ebay has them for cheaper yet..But I have not seen any parts feedback on the ebay ones..I'm kinda thinking about ordering one myself, just so I can write a review on them..

I have an eBay o2 housing. The weld cracked a little on the bottom flange probably a year after I had it. I just took it off and went over the welds. I'm happy with it.

Getting new o2 housing, and only choosing between these 2. Yes I know evo 3 cheaper and flows nice, but not what I want also would have to cut my flange on on my downpipe to fit for evo 3. But anyways what one of these 2 would be the better one to get.

OR

2. EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts

Both o2 housing will do you fine, but they are not alike.

Here's is a link to a review on JMFab o2 housing:

Its a gorgeous piece and I understand why JMFab has a strong foundation here, ported btw.

I couldn't find as detailed picture of the punishment racing one.

I would notice how each one has the O2 sensor in a different locations. I really like JMF location, placed the O2 sensor right in front of you so you can easily fit a wrench around it and remove it, you probably dont need that special O2 sensor socket. Also the JMF like the stock o2 housings, have two studs for attaching the downpipe, way easier then haveing a bolt and nut.

Personally, I had an ebay SS o2 housing, currently running MAPerformance MVS recirc. It worked very well, held up for 2 years. O2 sensor location was fine. I snagged it for 75 bucks.

If those are your only two choices I would go with JMF

Will any of those be worth the trouble on 14b power levels? I dont see them gaining much over a ported 2g o2, which he already has. Most dp's have a 2.5" opening that expands to 3" shortly after the flange. The 2g o2 can be ported to match the 2.5" opening.

Watch out I have a cheapo stainless housing and the O2 bung was welded at the wrong angle and it hit the water pipe. The O2 bung was in the 1g location if any one was wondering.

My vote a ported 2g or a nice one. And if you are worried about weight of the O2 housing there are bigger fish to fry when it comes to weight reductions on these cars.

Between the two you posted, JMFab all the way.

Will cheaper units work...sure. Is that what you asked, no. Another great unit would be ModernAutomotivePerformance (MAP) unit. I have there Tial 38mm MVS atmospheric dump unit, it's a freakin work of art. That said, it's also $$$ but I don't think i'll EVER have to upgrade from it so long as I stick with a MHI hotside.
