what kind of racing do you.... ?

Rally Road, Sprint, Cross
Time attack
Drift
Enjoy car on street

And which ones have a good base and regular DSM partisipants in the northwest. Coming from Michigan, I was only 40 minutes from the annual shootout. You could find DSM's in every respect back home. Just wondering if they have a decent following here.

Do you drag race locally here in the northwest? I can totally agree. Drag racing is what I have done mostly. With a Road Rally, and some autocross mixed in.

I guess there are a few tracks here. Bremerton Raceway, Pacific, I was told there is one in Auburn as well. Which ones do you guys use the most? best track? I really want to goto a track in the next few weeks just to check it out and maybe meet some of you.

I go to pacific raceways and alot of the guys here go there too. Its were the nitro drags come and they have been making improvements to it over the years. Its a nice track. I only drag my car but they have an autocross course there too. The strip is open all the time for test and tunes check their website http://pacificraceways.com

I mostly drag. My car is almost ready too The base map on my EMS was installed yesterday, and we'll hit the Dyno for tuning this Friday. Hopefully I'll be able to make the Test N Tune on Sunday, but I might need to put in a little more time on the EMS 1st.

I was thinking the one north east or seattle was pacific. But I guess thats Evergreen.

I am really interested in seeing that turbo you have 3065. Thats a turbo I have actually been researching a bit. Seems like a good choice for my plans. Maybe if you do make it out to a test and tune, I'll most likely go. Maybe I will reguardless. I haven't smelled race gas or burnouts in the last 2 years.

yeah evergreen is where they are gonna host Formula D again come July.

Bremerton is known for doing their autocross/drift days if you know the right people.

I think there used to be some autocross events up in everett or near the evergreeen speedway in monroe?

If you head down to portland oregon, they've got some nice racing down there.


As far as shops go, I'd say (IMO) that the two biggest shops specfic to DSM's are PINA motorsports just outta kent, and Englishracing out of Portland Oregon.

I saw some kid driving your (his new) GSX around the 180th St meeting spot off of 167. He was lookin for people to run against. He looked like a 17 year old, who's mommy and daddy bought him his 1st car. It was kinda disapointing to see, but the scarry part came when I talked to him.

He wants to mod it all up, and was talking alot about Ebay, and all the cheap parts he can get for the car.... and how he can make it go !SUPER! !FAST! with not very much money; beating Vipers and shit!!

My left arm, actually had to stop my right arm, from Back Hand'ing the kid!!!

But for the love of a beautiful 1G... I felt I should atleast say something
...So I tried to tell the kid it was a very bad idea to do that, and that it would only give him problems.

BUT He said he knows friends from school that have made there DSMs fast before.

...At that point I had to just walk away before the tears came

1st of all; I'll be 19 next sunday
2nd; I bought the car, not my parents
3rd; You never talked to me.

I've only talked to one other dsmer about my car, and that was in kent at the street races the one time i went with it.
i asked him if he knew brady and i told him i had just bought the car from him.
I would never buy anything for it off of ebay. My number 1 concern isn't making it 'super fast' its actually keeping the car alive and running like it should.
the reason being is that i had a 92 eclipse GS 2L, and the motor blew after i had it for like 6 months. and i've been wanting a gsx since, and i am more than grateful to have run across her and actually be able to buy it.

so, i dont know who you talked to. but it wasnt me. so get your facts straight before you run your mouth like that.

One of my friends once sold a very nice black 98 LS1 F-body and I jokingly told him that the kid he sold it to had put a complete vinyl graphics package all over it. He was mortified till he found out it didn't happn.

i've been wanting a 1g gsx for like 2 years now.
i got my first 92 eclipse from my brother in law not knowing much about them but once i got it (before i had my license) i fell in love with it, i sat in it everyday after school, my friend and i would pop the hood and look around in it, then i found this site and i joined with it, but i dont remember my username or anything.
but when i saw his car i wasn't really looking for something new, but my rx7 pissed me off cause it crapped out on me again, and then i saw it and i was like HOLY SHIT, and then i said F the rx7 this is the gsx i've been looking for.
so i talked to my parents about cosigning on a loan, and then that weekend i bought it.
i'm still learning about the difference with the turbo and what not.
but i am definitely taking care of the car and doing everything i can to keep it perfect

It's not my car any longer but Rex assured me he wouldn't eBay it out and I'll trust him on that. I'll remove it eventually, not on the top of my list of things to do.

GSeXyrexy I did see you in Kent at the meet-up spot. You didnt talk to me directly, but I was there. Maybe you didnt notice because I wasnt in my TSi. The La Salle Silver GSX looked as clean as ever. I was just in a prankster mood when I saw Brady's MPG post And I didnt mean any harm by the 17year thing, but when you're 27 like me, and 18-19year old looks more like 15-16.

So what kind of plans do you have for the car GSeX?
When are you going to take her down the track and see what she'll do?

i thought about it for a while and i realized you were probably just joking.
anyway, was that a vr4 galant or an evo 1 or 2 that was there? (it was silver, i couldnt really tell from afar)
the kent was really just a one time thing, i dont know if you were there at the 2nd spot we went to, but after like 10 minutes i decided to race a little, i killed all of those hondas. i loved it.
the only reason i would go back is to race that mustang, he wouldnt race me because it rained and he couldnt get traction.
but yea, im hoping to take it to the track as soon as i get the chance, how much is it to do a test and tune at pacific raceways?
i mainly want to get into road racing and autocross. im going to that open track day in bremerton in october to go have some fun.
and im definitely going to be going to the meets i can get to and really getting to know everybody.

Maybe I will see you in bremerton. Pacific raceways test and tune is 30 dollars I am pretty sure. and they have a 10 dollar yearly fee for a race number.

Yeah 30 or 35 for Drag Test'N'Tune. Bremerton AutoX is a blast because of all the open space which is good for higher speed courses. Get there nice N early for the open track day. Its becoming very popular and there will be alot of people! Theses little cars are a ton of fun.

oh ok, my friend and i saw that, and he said he thought it was a vr4, and then i was like no that looks like a sentra, and then i got a little better look at it (and saw it take off) and realized it wasnt a sentra and then i remembered seeing the post about that evo1, and then i figured it was probably that.
very nice. im a huge fan of older jdm cars like that, they are like jdm muscle cars.
but yea, i cant wait to get out to the track and have some fun

If the EVO1 would have come to the US in 92-93, it would have dominated it's class AND others above it.

evo 1's could be the biggest sleeper car ever, because they do look like they are just some 4 door sedan, but they are fast.
