What Is Wrong Now???

Ok so I was stopping at a stop sign the other day and something sqeeled loud and the car died. I started it up and now it sounds like a coffee pot when it is out of water kinda. Any ideas??

what did the loud noise sound like? What have you done so far to figure the problem?

I have check for leaks, loose belts, broken pieces, low fluids I guess all the normal stuff.
