what is the different you can see if the turbo is bad?

2 weeks ago my car started shakes when it boosts after 3500rpm looks like cut the gas or air felt stop give any power.. 3 days ago i was mad for it, i always got power cut after 3200-3500rpm you know, so i was pushing full gas when it shakes in 3500rpm. after 30mins on the free way the car went horrible. now,even in idle the engine shakes a little bit, and after i stop in the lights i need push a lot gas to lunch my car. the exhuast sounds like the misfiring and smells bad. i think might be the turbo is gone. do you guys know what will happen when the turbo stoped working?
now, it boosts but never reach the top + on the stock boost gauge. the best is like 3/4.

Do a boost leak test. Build yourself a tester. I suspect you have a leak. When a turbo is on its way out you can usually tell by smoke from the tail pipe under heavy accel, or by checking shaftplay. Pull the intake tube and wiggle the compressor wheel. Due to the oil system on your turbo some shaft play is very normal. If the wheel is scraping the housing you definately have some problems. Id really suspect a boost leak though. It doesnt sound like a turbo to me...

you think a boost leak will cause the car shakes like a misfiring, even in the idle? my idle changed to 450-500rpm, before was 650-700..
now i just put back the stock bov, when the car with Apexi twin chamber bov on the engine will off every time when i put on the neutral. hmm, i have to push car when i stop at lights.. let it idles by itself, car will off.. all battery, engine check, radiator light will on. no break, no steering wheels..
now with stock bov, shakes but engien wont off when i put on neutral.
i am having a lot problem with my 95 talon now, i got scared to drive it...

Sounds like you were venting your blow off valve? ... CHECK FOR BOOST LEAKS. A boost leak will cause your car to feel like it hit a brick wall, have bad driving characteristics, bad idle, etc. It all depends on how bad it is. Its a cheap and easy check. I gaurantee you that you will find at least one small one.

Well when my turbo quit, it was like driving a 3 cyl. Metro GEO. Absolutely zero power.

yeah like canadianTSI said boost leak or bad/plugs wires. About 6 months ago one of my plugs misfired, burning out a spark plug . my car didn't boost high, ran slower, and yes did lower my idle from 750 to about 550-600. so check those plugs/wires.

oh yeah DON'T vent !! it will cause idling problems & stalling problems; both you have right now. and you will run rich. check for a boost leak, they always cause things like this to happen. good luck with finding your problem. let us know if you find the problem!!
