What is the best way to....

Fish wire through stuff, I used clothes hangers to do the wiring for my boost gauge but it scratched the hell out of the interior paint and was a pain in the ass.

I found the best way was to make a loop in the end of the wire and then fish it into the place you want to start then hook it with a hook on the end of the clothes hanger.

Wondering if there is an easier way.

roll of 18g solid copper wire does pretty good as fish tape ..

I use a plastic rod called a gopher. Works great with out scratching the paint.

I bought mine long ago. I searched for a link for you but I can't find anyone selling it. If I find it I'll let you know.

^ +1 we have a set at work that are glow in the dark so their easy to spot in dark places.

I usually use a metal hanger, push it through the grommet, and tape the wire to it. then pull it through and you are all set. if needed you can clip a little of the wire to make it clean

I use a small screwdriver to make the hole in the gromet, run some thin mechanics wire from the side I'm running the wires to, then tape the wire(s) to the end of the mechanics wire and pull them through. I like the mechanics wire because it is real easy to manuever.
