what is proper name for shaft that comes out of tranny that drives transfercase?????

As stated above I am looking for this part I have been reffering to this as intermediate shaft but most people think im talking about the shaft from cv to transfercase....

At least thats what Mitsubishi calls it.
I would have said Rear Output Shaft, but the manual says Center Shaft.

Thanks for the help anyone know where I can get a good 23 spline on and where I can buy the clip that holds it in the trans ,The dealership I when to wanted around 50.00 for it because the had to special order this part ...

Try www.jackstransmissions.com, they do DSM tranny rebuilds and I would imagine have these on hand.

You can buy one at sheptrans dealer for not so much.

Thanks for the help I really appreciate it I sent shep a e-mail hope he has one on shelf .Thats the only orange 1G I have ever saw looks unique .I just was asked two days ago to paint one corvete yellow now that doesnt sound so bad I kinda like the idea of a bright color on a 1G...
