i know this is a stupid question to most of you but what kind of motor does the 2g gst have

well i said it a lil wrong.. i am buying some pistons and it said for eagle talon so i called and he said it wouldnt work thats all i pretty much knew.. but thanks guys

Hey take it easy guys, we all have to learn somehow. Your motor is the 4g63 like stated. Also unless the motor was replaced you have a 7 bolt.

Eagle talon's and Mitsubishi eclipse's have the same motors.

If the pistons are for a 4g63 2g talon then it will fit your 2g eclipse gst.

And ofcoarse some talon's do have a 420a, they are the ESI and some eclipse's have the 420A, They are the RS and GS models.

Some spyders have a 2.4 NT : P

thanks guys im new to dsm motors. i come from the 240sx world and know much about black tops and red tops.. i came up on a good deal with this eclipse and couldnt pass it up. now i love this car more than any of my 240s.. so thanks again for helping me out.
