my engine blew up and now its time to rebuild. my engine has already been pulled and it is now time to buy parts. my $ tree is limited to about 3500 right now but that will have to include a high performance clutch.
i mainly just need to know how to supply adequate fuel for that much boost. which fuel management system would you recommend?
the portfueler is cool but i feel it is overpriced.
oh and any good deal links on engine rebuild kits is appreciated. im hopin to order all the parts this weekend to have as least down time as possible

I'd say MSnS is the way to go if you feel Portfueler is overpriced. AEM EMS and Haltech just don't offer enough support, which basically leaves you with either Portfueler or MSnS...

He could also look into a custom 8-injector setup that he could get for half of what a portfueler costs.

well whatever you do dont forget that little o-ring between the block and bedplate.if you do youll have to pull the engine out to fix it.trust me i experienced it first hand.

i would just spend the 1000$ and get the port fuller it will solve alot of your problems...

je pistons
eagle rods
clevete bearings
apr head studs and main bolts

new water and oil pump
that should be good enough

A lot of what problems? The portfuler and the 8 injector setup is the same thing.. MSNS is a lot tougher than the 8 inj setups, but with some base maps and some tuning experience it's not that bad....

The Portfueler is $1000 or so if you buy there injectors and rail and everything else which makes the install easy. The port fueler alone is only $300 and you will spend almost that with the Megasquirt and you have to put it together and make your own base maps. The Port fueler box is setup for you. If you wanna save a few bucks just get the Portfueler box and weld on your own injectors bungs on your manifold and use a rail off a 93 Grand am which is basically what the portfueler uses.
