What front tires to run on FWD front?

I have been away for a while, used to use Azenis for the front.
They don't last very long (but I have even wear), I am running a smaller turbo these days so I would like to step down to something more economical.

What do you think is a good choice? I want to mail order because I only trust 1 local shop to not mess up my wheels. I need to replace the front first but the rears come later. About $100 each is my budget. I am in CA and rarely drive in the rain so I am looking for super dry performance or basically summer tires.

When i had my Kumho SPTs they were comfortable, great in the rain (when it did rain here in SoCAL), and gripped well (better than my old AVS ES100).

My top 3 U.H.P. Tires (that will last fairly long and won't break the bank)

I agree with the Kumho Escta SPT. Good performance for the price. Prices start at $73 ea. on 16" rims.

I want to know more about this one. How do you like it?

I have the old Kumho Escta 712? on the car still how does the SPT compare because the old 712 leave alot to be desired.

I run a set of G-Force Sport and like them a lot. They are nothing like drag radials or anything but they are pretty sticky. They do great on mountain roads and rainy days. I got these tires because I wanted something that would last a little longer then the other high performance tires.

If I need new tires anytime soon I would definitely pick up another set of these G-Force Sports!

I'm running the same size tires as you. I was running a big16g but now I'm running a 50trim. I guess their is a little traction issues if your not careful with the throttle, but thats to be expected out of street tires. Other then that traction is really nice, and these tires take the twisty's pretty good too. They are the best tires I have had so far, and I wanted my tires to last longer then the other tires I had before, but still be a performance tire.

Yes, softer sidewall usually means better straight line performance.

Maybe you should look into some BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW-2.

straight line FWD grip is most important than lateral grip second.

they get great ratings, plus my friend has them on his crx (ya, i know) and swears by them. priced right, i believe they are made by bridgestone
