what exactly is "booster" exhaust? is it any good?

i bought my 90' laser rs fwd turbo about 2 weeks ago and my friend also with a laser said it had booster exhaust. did any 1 ever hear of this exhaust or kno if it is any good. also any 1 have suggestions for what i should do next. its completely stock except an o2 dump, k n n airfilter, exhaust, and 8 mm plug wires.
