what exactly is "booster" exhaust? is it any good?

i bought my 90 laser rs turbo about 2 weeks ago and it came with exhaust ..just the muffer my friend looked at it and said its booster. is this true? has anyone ever heard of "booster" exhaust....also can anyone give me some ideas what to do with the car its my 1st dsm and i want to do some work on it . so if u had experiences that i might not wanna have can you please share them with me..thanks

It's probably just the muffler, and if it has piping, it's probably custom piping from a muffler shop. As long as it flows well, there's nothing more you can ask for, other than looks.

Make sure everything is mechanically sound on the car. Once you get things settled, then you can work on it. Check out http://www.vfaq.com/index-main.html for some nice information on fixing and modding the car. There are also 'free mods' you can do (hacking the mass air, emissions, etc.); you should check out some places on this site and do some searches, i'm sure you can find something.

btw - check out http://www.taboospeedshop.com/emissions.htm for information on how to reroute all your emission vaccum lines.

Honestly other things you should do have been discussed.
Search for First mods or beginning mods or something of that context. After you do this you will have some reading on what you should do to the car first off.
