does anybody kno what type o single canister would be the loudest on a 92 eagle talon non-turbo with a header inthake and 2.5 inch exhaust??

any input will be helpful

thanks,
Steve

I think the real question should be why?

Open header is pretty damn annoying. Should try that, sound like a honda and be l33t.

why do you want "the loudest" on a NA dsm? Usually "loud" on a NA car means rice sounding exhaust. Or at least around here it does.

I'd try for performance over loud man, try a 2.5" pipe, with a high flow cat, and a free-er flowing baffled muffler. or an oval can straight through (if you have to have straight through).

Dam i just got pulled over.Cop says he can give me a ticket for anything other than factory "modified exhaust":nono:
A lil 12"Glasspack out the end might be pretty loud and cheap not to mention they last 10+yrs.We turbo guys use 'em as resonators:tease:

Hi, i have a 92 non- turbo talon, with header, short ram intake. I was wondering if anybody knows what would be a good exhaust for my car. But i want the exhaust to be real loud.

Thanks,
Steve

I have a 92 2.0 liter non-turbo talon with injen short ram intake, obx header, n magnaflow exhaust. What else should I do to my car besides turbo it. I just need somethings what will give me some more horsepower.

Any input will help

Thanks,
Steve.

When you replace the timing belt, get rid of the balance shafts. Cams as already mentioned, porting and polishing. You could get the motor stroked as well, it would require some custom parts but is very doable. You can upgrade to the 390cc injectors, I just bought a set for $20. Get a stock turbo fuel pump.
Read the thread "1g all motor alternative", theres some good info in there.

i'm pretty sure you're going to need the resistors from a turbo car to run those 390's. not sure, but something you should check into. i'm also thinking of doing the same thing. i've got an safc to tune the fuel curves if i decide to do this.

92talondude, here's a link to the 1g all motor thread. there's a lot of useful information. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12064 i'm going to warn you: don't plan on going all out unless you've got a few screws loose, big balls of steel, and pockets like the grand canyon. it sure would be fun, but it's certainly not easy and probably not worth it. if only we could get the mivec head from an evo ix to work...

I have a 92 2.0 liter non-turbo talon i was wondering if anybody knew who makes a good set of cams, n an intake manifold.

Thanks,
Steve

You don't need an intake manifold. You will never flow enough air to fill the one on there cause it's huge. The cams you can search about, but I know at least a few years back that hks would make a custom cam for the nt. Most companies only make turbo cams, which will work, but maybe not as intended.

i have a 92 n/t talon, what would be a good set of pistions and rods?? any imformation will help.

Thanks,
Steve

Yeah, mods love threads like this. They love them so much they will f&!k them hard.

The awd rods are the same as yours if you have a 1g dohc. They will hold 350? whp on the 7-bolt motor, so I think you'll be okay with the 105 whp these puppies normally put out. Pistons? if you must dishonor the n/t by not turboing it, go with the wiesco or ross.

just leave it stock.

unless you're planning on running n2o or a turbo. if that's the case, get some forged pistons and stick them on your stock rods. you WILL NOT max those rods out on a n/t 4g63. look around for a price. just make sure you get the right compression ratio. tell us what you're looking to do and we can help better.
