I'm organizing my sockets now that it's too cold to do anything other than emergency or very minor work on my Talon and trying to determine if I can use a couple more one-offs, and was just wondering this. I know that the crank bolt uses a 22mm and the trans, t-case & rear diff drain bolts are 24mm, but what others are these sizes or perhaps larger? Ok the manual trans lock nuts are both 36mm and the axle nuts are 32mm. Do any suspension bolts or nuts have ones this big?
My most often used socket set by far is the Tekton 3/8" shallow impact one, which has everything from 7mm to 19mm. I added a 21mm one-off a while back for lug nuts, am thinking of also adding a 22mm & 24mm, and was wondering if there are other larger sizes to consider getting in a 3/8" size. I have a 1/2" deep impact set that covers most larger sizes other than a 36mm, which I very rarely need, but it's pretty heavy and I don't like lugging it around since I keep my tools in my walkup 2nd floor apartment.
