what does Re-Circulation do!!!

hi guys
i m looking to get a greddy type rs bov for my car and it has an option of Re-Circulation or non Re-Circulation so i was wondering what does the Re-Circulation do
please help me out!!!

p.s i heard that the type rs bov could sound like the type s when it hold more then 20 psi is that ture!!!

Get the recirculation one. Without it you will run rich between shifts among other disadvantages, unless you plan to go with a blow through maf setup. You will also be sentenced to hell for "venting." Run a quick search on the bov that you are interested in and search for venting for more information.

Recirculation means that the air that is released from the blowoff valve is recirculated back into the intake and back into the turbo. Without a GM-MAF setup in Blow - Thru mode, not recirculating the blow off valve will cause the car to run rich because the mass airflow sensor thinks that air is in the system when it is being released into the air, or vented into the atmosphere as other DSM'ers call it.

You should try searching before , but i'll go ahead and answer your post.

Basically, if you do not re-circulate your blow off valve back into your intake, your car will run MUCH worse than it is suppose to. The ECU already takes that boost pressure into account, so your car will not run like it's suppose to. Not re-circulating will cause problems like worse gas mileage, possible stalls, and it may idling strangly. So , re-circulating will be the best thing to do for performance.

BUT, an alternative to not having to recirculate would be to run a GM MAF, and a MAF Translator, and to block off your turbo intake. This is much more costly, and will not make your car any faster. All it does is help you get that "pshh" that we all adore so much.
