I've been looking into a variety of mufflers recently. I live in Los Angeles aka hater cop central, and I would like to purchase a muffler that does not attract too much attention yet still looks nice and has a 3" inlet. I was originally gonna paint the muffler black but I believe the muffler I've decided on should fly by relatively unnoticed. What do you guys think? I think it's the SEX!

it looks like a nice muffler another option would be magnaflow idk if you have looked into them but ive installed allot of them and they are made with pretty good stainless steel thier costly but it wont need replaced it also will give you a more deep tone less ricey

I'd avoid anything chrome if you want to avoid the cops.

I agree in part, but it's not like it's a big "fart can". I was thinking of painting the body but I'll decide after the install. I don't think this will attract attention at all, only from those whom actually know their stuff. Heck even our OEM have some chrome.
I feel this muffler says I don't to be the the biggest to kick your ass.

It looks good to me. how much is it?

OH! This is the best part! I got it for $36 SHIPPED! Sometimes Ebay rocks :hellyeah:

I would usually agree with you since I know magnaflow or BORLA make something similar to this but I am on a budget and although I know their aggressive sound, performance, and noise suppression would be superior I can't justify the huge price difference. (or maybe I just did! LOL)

Looks like a generic ebay muffler  Im sure it will sound like one too. Just my oppinion

I don't think it looks like a generic ebay muffler, this style of muffler is simply not "common". However until installed I won't know how it sounds, which I HOPE you are wrong about because this is a concern for me too. If anyone's interested I'll be happy to supply a video of the muffler after it's installed. Thanks for your opinion.

Oh yeah? 3" Dual Straight Tip T-304 Exhaust Muffler W/2.5" Inlet | eBay

ROFL

I like the look though as long as the dual tips aren't too big. A lot of people here run ebay mufflers.

Yeah im interested. Lately i've been contemplating getting a stock appearing muffler to keep the cops away.

Fart cans are basically a resonator with a tip, if you don't like the sound get a glasspack before it to tune the sound, bigger diameter = deeper, smaller diameter = higher pitched

Just received the muffler (took only 2 days!), and it actually looks BETTER than I thought it would. Upon close inspection the muffler looks very high flowing, 3" all the way, and I think it will have a great sound! I'll know for sure tomorrow when it is installed!

You did get it form ebay..It's a great looking muffler..But ebay mufflers lack in the sound dampening department..So it could be loud, who knows..But keep us informed on how it sounds..

Very interesting thread, I love how yours has a dual chamber (something I wish mine had, and its a TRUE sleeper, but for the $400+ you paid to do everything even though it was spaced out over time, it's simply not worth it for ME. I've selected a very similar muffler that I don't have to modify and looks great for $36! (less than 1/10 the cost of yours) and IMO a more visually appealing and aggressive looking muffler that shouldn't attract too much attention, if it does though, I'll hi-temp coat it gloss black like yours.

I had that muffler on my vr4, switched it because it was loud and nasty sounding. Also it tarnishes and rust on the surface real quick. Since then I have switched to a vibrant muffler.
