hello dsm'ers i got a question with the hoses that i took off the stock intake hose and the 3 little vacume ones that hook on the the turbo elbow, wastegate and the ait filter. im runing gm maft so i will be replacing the stock intake hose with a sealed one with just a filter to atmosphere. i still got the stock 14b. can i just put a plug on them? would i be able to plug the ones from the canaster too?

thanks guys!!:thumb:

If you have a aftermarket boost controller, you dont need the lines goint to the wastegate and turbo elbow, the one going to the canister you plug it and the one goint to the valve cover im not sure.

ooh ok is see what your saying, so the ones for the canister just hook those two together right? can anybody else support this? and i do have an aftermaket boost controller, got it for like 20 bucks LOL, just havent installed it. all i gota do is replace the solenoid with the boost controller?

Get a vaccum from the turbo elbow and conect it to the boost controller nipple, perpendicular to the bolt that ajust boost, and get another vaccum line from the wastegate to the other nipple in the boost controller.

heres a pic of the controller and its got 3 hoses. and a pic of my elbow for my fmic. so the olny conections i got now is the one from the wastegate and the vacume hose that hooks up to the solenoid.

If you have a pressure source. connect the pressure source to the boost controller in the nipple with the arrow and remove the little piece that make another two lines, that thing is crap, just run it to the wastegate niple. end up with just one line going in the controller and one out of the controller.:thumb:

ok gotcha. and no theres no nipple anywhere. so that means that ill probably gona have to drill a hole and tap one on the j pipe.

I have the same j pipe. I took one of the nipples off of an old intake maniflod i had. I found a nut that had the same thread pitch and drilled a hole through the j pipe, Put a washer and an o-ring on the nipple and put it through the hole, Put a o-ring and a washer on the other side, put the nut on with some lok-tite so it doesnt fall into the turbo and tightened it up.
