nice valve cover. i tried to paint the hubby's letters white but i think i got too impatient when taking the tape of and it ran everywhere :p so now it's just all red. i will note, that when i took the valve cover off, i was surprised and quite tickled to see everything so clean. no sludge! yay Castrol -hugs bottle-

I will probably get bashed for this, try Vaseline instead of tape. After 15 mins or so just wipe it off. You won't get any streaking at all. I did that with a lot of my parts and they turned out flawless....

Who the hell would buy the Murderwagen? The SAFC, tires, and engine are worth more than the whole car! I always reckoned I'd be stuck with this beast. I kinda like it that way, plus, it just keeps, uh... working. Even the Illinois State Police don't know what to make of it. They think they've got a live one, then they just shake their head and send me on my way with a ticket.

You make me hate you. How come my damn 2G can't have an engine bay that rust free.

'cause you've got a 2G:p

well i started about 2 weeks ago code name project alice , removed the engine found a nice 1\4 gouge in the no 2 cylinder tor the whole drive train out and well today i took off the whole front clip , . unfortunatly the car was previously owned by a honda guy :ohdamn:and he knew nothing about dsms the whold engine harnnes has to be replaced and the exsiting fuel system is ... well interesting what he did so im taking this one down to bone and starting from scratch :aha:

Well, I finished my power steering pump installation today! But then I figured out I need a new radiator and my head gasket is blown.:|

Just picked up and dropped off the engine crane at the garage. Going to pull out the engine this week and begin about a 6 month project of rebuilding the engine, front-end, and doing some massive upgrading and lightening.

Today I cleaned. Went through 2 cans of brake cleaner and a can of engine degreaser along with a roll of shop towels. Finally have the engine bay ready for the block and turbo setup to get back together.

well lets see i was driving down the road and tried to make a light:banghead: blew the rear brake hose. Not so bad except i was doin 65 mph. and the light turned red with me still trying to stop. changed that out. went to bleed it and blew the main line out also.:ohdamn: so replaced that. On one good note i got to tear the air cleaner can out:thumb: next week will be swapping my stock pos 14b for a bastard ass 14b. :hellyeah: so that was about it.

Looked at my car and shook my head....

Took out the entire interior.
Cleaned interior (incl. Steam cleaning the carpet)
Put interior back together

And only managed to have 2 screw left over...haha

Got my emissions test done. That passed, I also got my free package from Stock Interiors. The smog guy that did my car showed he his Jeep that Maaco painted. It was amazing for a $400 paint job, actually looked factory. clear coat and everything. I figured the wipers and door handles would be painted. Nothing, it was really painted well.

Installed my door speakers, and still can't figure out how to get the wires in back to stay plugged in. (I had the radio out and if I touch the wires, the sound comes back. I think the connection is not too good at this point.)

I sat down and talked to mine, explained to her that I was going to do my best to not cause brain damage tomorrow.

IE - I'm getting Ostrich in tomorrow. I'm pretty damned good at soldering seeing as how I'm used to working with PC hardware.. I'm just so nervous. =/ Oh well. If shit goes downwards I'll figure something out.

Anyone wanna remote into my laptop and play with tunes with me tomorrow? ;D

installed new lower under dash panel, the previous retard had some sort glue all over it. Also replaced shift know from a worn out momo to OEM weighted leather wrapped. :hellyeah:

Then I cleaned my interior out and conditioned my leather seats.

Thought about it.
Specifically about how, had I saved the 25K I spent on it over the years, I would have a very decent down payment on a house. And would probably have some money in my bank account.

But I didn't, and I don't :/
