To all the guys in here that are geting smoked bye a non VTEC you guys cant drive for #@%#@%#@%#@% i have a 95 GS and i have smoked the living crap out out of every non vtec i have raced and the VW 1.8t that isnt that fast my friend has i and i took him bye 1 1/2 cars and that ford crap PLEASE they are slow if you have all that #@%#@%#@%#@% then i give you props you are quick but the others a stock gs can take em AND IF ANY OF YOU TURBO ECIPSES THINK YOU ARE FASTER THAN EVERY 1 BULL $#!* I HAVE SMOKED MY FAIR SHARE OF YOU GUYS so stop talking all kinds of crap to the 420A guys some of wanna build a slow car to something not just upgrade a turbo just my 2 cents.

Same here, auto vs. auto. Civic EX with bodykit left me sittin' at 30-mph.

hmmm. how much does the eclipse weigh? more than a civic horsepower is negotiable...power to weight ratio is everything ( i always wondered why pro' lightened their cars?) although the civic has fewer hp than the eclipse, it is also substantially lighter.

Does anyone know if the trannies in Civic Ex's shift faster than our autos? If soo, that would explain why some of us are gettin' smacked by um'. If soo, would a shift kit take care of that?

and sanitarium16, i've done it to my mom's crv honda, and my bro's honda civic hatch, they said they felt sort of a difference in acceleration... but that's what they said on 'their' car, havent tried on my 90 gs, and it crashed... now im driving a 95 gs, and i dont think i would need to do it now... i think. anyways, peace guys.... saving for that damn turbo!~!!!! weeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Ive killed my fair share of civic v-tech's, there nothing special... whats sad is when the chick in the auto Mazda mx-6 rolls up and smokes u, even tho i had 4 peps in the car geez the first week i got my car I lost to a Ford focus... but then after i learned how to drive i killed the same focus after it got mods, so... its all in your racing skills...

his car is a 1991 plymouth laser N/T manual (no mods, lust a performance chip)

cars we have beaten:
'98 mustang V6
'97 accord EX
'92 Integra Vtec
'96 avenger
'97 civic hatch
'95-'96 neon r/t
'99 eclipse GS
'96-? cavalier Z24
'94 ford probe
I'll write up some more when I remember...

I have a 92 automatic Talon and a lot of people raced me before my tranny went out. I beat non V-Tech Honda's, but I did really have to step on it. It was not an easy win.

Since I have to get my tranny rebuilt I have been doing some research on auto tranny's and I have found that if you get an upgraded torque converter you can have a higher stall speed 300-800 higher than stock. IMO I think this would help you auto guys out quite a bit off the line and for low end torque. If you are interested in this for your car contact.

I have a 99 eclipse, mostly stock and to my success i've toasted a 98 intergra gsr, a 95 honda prelude, 97 mazda 626 m-edition, 200? eclipse, even a mitsubishi montero sport haha .
