what car should i get?

hey guys, i recently sold my eclipse for 4K and now im lookin to buy a car, i am seriously stumped on what car to get. I like to race and i want something with good looks and high horsepower. I can get a 3000gt but it has 200K miles on it, so im thinkin the resale isnt going to be that great. BMW's are to expensive to keep in good shape. There are NO 300zx's around me. One day i hope to get a 95+ 240sx and get a rb25det swap, so i need a car i can resale for a decent price when im done with it. Hondas are out of the question. If anyone can think of any cars that are good looking and fast plz tell me. I live in oregon so if you know of any auctions/good deals going on feel free to post um. THanx in advance.

i like mr2 turbos..rx-7 turbo II..golf gtis are decent....thats all i can think of that i would want off of the top of my head in a price range similar to what you have.

those r all good cars for racing but the gti is the only thing that even gets close to looking as cool as the eclipse. I was looking at some integra gsr's but i duno, like 3 kids @ my school have umm already.. If anyone in the oregon/washington area is selling their eclipse post up!! i got 4K cash.

for 4K you could get a cool crotch rocket bike but I hear it rains in oregon so I don't know if a bike is the way to go.

yea if a crotch rocket was an option i would have one in a heart beat, those things get SOO Much poon tang around here. Anyone have any thoughts on a 3000gt (its an automatic :thumbdown )? im goin to most of the car dealerships in portland today, if i get a car ill post pics and stuff.

if you got a 3000GT dont expect it to be reliable unless the previous owner really took good care of it.. and also expect to spend twice as much to fix it as a DSM. But with that behind you.. get the VR4 if you are going for the 3000GT.. twin turbo AWD and a lot of nice gadgets to boot. Just stay away from poorly taken care of or high milage 3S vehicles.

well my mom just called me from the bank, and the guy that bought my car, wrote me a bad check, so it bounced, and i cant seem to find another car i like, so im gonna go REPO my own car.. im glad a kept the extra key. Just a reminder to everyone out there, keep your title until you get cash in hand. ( i did, and now i can get my car back )

well i have an interesting conclusion to this story, I went home after my last post and took another look @ the check, i noticed that he was a platinum member, and that means he has SHIZ loads of money, so i called the bank again like 2 hours later, and the funds were there.. he just hadnt transfered them yet. So then i went down to the getto of portland to look for some cars, i got totally shot down by about 4 dealerships, one guy tried to sell me a integra gsr for 12K FIRM!!! it was funny, anyway i rolled into the fifth lot and they had a 300zx and they were puttin the dealership stickers on it, i walked up and flashed all my cash and got the car for 3700, its a 1990 and red, i realy like the car. It turns out they just got the car 15mins b4 i came and bought it. Ill try and post pics asap.
