here are my mods:
maf blow-thru, translator set for 430cc inj so that i run richer and i do not get as much knock.
n1 2 1/2 to 3 in. downpipe to 2 1/2 in piping into stock muffler. not cat
pacesetter manifold.
intake.
ngkbpr6es plugs
accel plugs
stock 14b
logger
...and i just wanted to know what brand of injectors i should get becuase i want some injectors, and the only specification i have is that it has to be 850cc becuase dsm chips shows 850cc as their highest but they told me they could go higher but i think that would be too much of an overkill, 850cc is an overkill for my 14b but i want to upgrade my turbo soon to a 60-1. so help me find a set of not so cheap 850cc injectors, denso is great but to expensive unless someone knows were i can get them for cheap.
thanks before-hand

The stock AFR is like 9.3:1 at WOT. You would be better off running a tad leaner and not richer.

And if you plan on useing the MAFT to tune out the bigger injectors you can't really go over 660's. If you go bigger than that you are lieing so much to the computer about airflow that you will be running on a lot lower load row causing you to have way to much timing advance.

You can't look at DSM chips stuff and apply that to a SAFC or MAFT. I'm running 1000cc injectors on a EPROM ECU. I compensate for the injectors through deadtime and actual global injector size. Not by reducing the airflow signal to the ECU like the SAFC or MAFT.

So for your setup you should look for a set of 660's. Denso injectors are known to flow more than 660, and some as much at 710cc. I would go for a set of RC 660's or PTE 660s. That should feed the 60-1 just fine.

I would suggest that you invest in a EPROM ECU and get a chip for your set-up and then you can go to whatever size injectors you like. My 1000's are about as big as you might be able to go and kept a decent idle for DD. I'm idling at 1000 RPM and I can't go any lower as the injectors just can't deliver that small of fuel efficently.

maglin i already have an eprom ecu and that was the whole point of my question, i wanted bigger injectors so that i could buy a chip from dsmchips.com LOL. i have a maft and i wanted to get bigger injectors and have dsmchips.com make me a chip so that i can compensate for them, but first i need to get some injectors before i order a chip. do you have a maft setup along with the chip you have? and if you have 1000cc injectors, how do you have your fuel injector size setting on the maft? what other settings do you have?
thanks

91-GSX 680cc inj's are all you will ever need for the 60-1 unless you get a motor to handle 30PSI. No need to buy 850's as dsmchips will just compensate for thenm and they become like a 450cc and that is what you set the MAFT for, 450cc in's. Mine is tuned to run as 470cc inj's with the stage 3 chip. Works great and I run 75% Injecor duty cycle at 23 PSI !
PTE's from www.dejontool.com about $300.

No MAFT yet. I'm waiting to be able to run a GM MAF with just the stock ECU. Their is a guy already working on the code. And if I did go with a MAFT it would all be set ot zero's and 450cc injectors cause all the compensation would be done inside the EPROM. Now you might have to fine tune the set-up a tad with the MAFT, but I'm talking very minor adjustments.

RC 1000's here in a blowthru MAFT setup. Get Jeff to do a chip for you or learn how to do it. Idle is great and there's plenty, P L E N T Y :rocks: of fuel if you need it.

sweet97, so they compensate for bigger injectors and let you keep the stock 450cc settings? do you ask them to do this or do they just do it? and did you have them set your stock ones to 470cc? and why?
thanks for the info guys i might go with RC's but are they good?

Go to the www.dsmchip.com site and see what a stage 3 gives you. Injector compensation is one. I ended at 470cc setting on the maft as part of the fine tuning after they do the chip. they set them to 450cc no matter what size you us. 650-680 is all you will need. RC' are good a little expensive. mark

sweet97, by setting the injectors at 470cc wouldnt that mean you leaned out the whole idle mid and wot by...450 to 460 to 470... 2 injector sizes? now i know they have this thing on the chip that allows you to run on factory maps, but if you lean it out like you did wont you be running to high of timing? or do they have something to keep you from running off factory maps?
thanks for you answers so far, lots of help.

Sweet97 meant www.dsmchips.com

Btw, after agonizing about the different types and brands of injectors, I came across a couple bits of info on Lucas injectors, one of them from Russ Collins himself:

"After dissembling every make of injector that there is, We have found that the stainless steel Lucas is, by far, the finest in construction and finish. The stainless steel innards, exclusive to Lucas, are a work of art. The unique metering disc assembly is years ahead of the, 40 year old, pintle design. Bosch, Siemens and Nippon-Denso are also excellent injectors that are used worldwide."

This from a Supra website.

tmizer thanks for that, it helps a lot, but it also gives me more to think about LOL.
if you could still answer the questiona bove sweet97, it would help a lot.
thanks you guys.

Sorry I did not check my spelling to the link. 91-gsx don't look at it as leaning it 2 injector sizes but simply fine tuning to get my high fuel trim around 100%.
I got the extended maps also so I can run more boost on pump, maybe with less timing b t more boost. My timing when tuned is proper in the mid-high teens. What having the chip does is bring my injectors to be close to 450cc as far as the ECU sees it. Did you read the www.dsmchip.com site? It has all of the answers.

sweet97 what do you mean by getting your high fuel trim to 100%, how do you know?

With a logger. I use the Scanmaster by www.fullthrottlespeed.com the same guys who make the MAF-Translator. I am able to see knock and many other bits of info as they are occurring. I love it as it makes tuning so much easier. Mark
