Yea, my daily driver had hard IC piping stock style routing through that hole.

And the intake I bought for it was the Injen knockoff.

Only reason I tried the K&N FPIK on it was with the included filter, it would just flop right in its place with no mounting.

However when I put the FPIK it would fit just right to where the fpik would push right on the edge around where you put turn signal bulb in the headlight so it wouldnt be all floppy.
Again not utilizing the stock mounting bracket included in the FPIK because it pushes it way beyond that point.

But it is a very tight fit, I kept switching every so often just because I was weird like that, but I know from my experience I got it to work.

This isn't a great pic but my intake is an extremepsi intake kit i had bought from them and i topped it off with a k&n air filter. I did modify the couplers by cutting them shorter as they were long the way they come.
My intake sits perfect. Not too long not to short.

Your current intake looks like an Injen or knockoff Injen. Look for and Injen filter and it should fit really tight in there, but it will work.

I think Im going to go with a K&N that has the same dimensions as an Injen filter.

There he has the $200+ Injen intake with the FPIK installed. If you read my reply above trying to explain what would happen, I was speaking in terms of using the knockoff injen.

And his picture illustrates it perfectly, which also helps the knockoff prove to be like if not exactly like the injen.
