What are these interior pieces?

When I bought the car these two pieces were under the trunk in the spare tire well and I cant figure out where they go.

I'm pretty sure they go under the dash at the front end of the door sill.

They are your small kick panels attached to the door sills right below the dash.

Thanks, I'm not sure why the PO even had these removed.

Possibly had an amp/sub hooked up and de-wired the car? Its easier to peel the carpet back with those removed. Or if it came with amp hookups maybe he was too lazy to complete the install by putting trim back on?

But thats what they are, drivers side protects the fuse box and passenger just matches it.
