Portugal Cove,
I can't seem to find a thread on them. THey're refered to, but not exactly what they are. When I bought my Laser, all the relays fuses, and the I.O.D. connector (as well what the hell is that?) were all pulled. I can replace fuses, but were do I find the relays and I.O.D. connector to replace what's left?

A relay is a box that has an electromagnet in it which your operating switch or system turns on and off. The electromagnet in turn pulls on an armature which has a pivot at one end and electrical contacts on the other. There are very many sorts of relays, but for general terms they can be boiled down to normally-open (the circuit it's controlling is "off"), normally-closed, and switching, which open one circuit and close another.
In automotive use, they're usually about the size of a small ice cube, although like everything else they're getting smaller, and are often replaced by transitor circuits. The Bosch pattern is very common, and can be wired in any of the three ways. Relays are used so that things like the dash switches only...
A relay is basically an electronic "switch". When it receives current, it closes a switch internally which completes a circuit (or vice versa).

If all else fails, call the dealer wholesale parts dept and get what you need. :)

Relays are used so that things like the dash switches only have to operate the power of the electromagnet, while the switched circuit inside the relay deals with the actual power loads such as on headlights, fuel pump, &c.

Solution
If you're not wanting to spend much money try and find one at a junk yard an get what you need there. Just make sure that all of the stuff looks ok.
