What are good compression #'s for an old 1g?

Buying another 1g soon and am looking for a stock un-modded car. Unless the engine was re-done I'll be getting a higher mileage turbo engine.

I will be doing a compression test and was wondering what #'s would be cosidered good, very good, and not worth buying if I'm expecting the motor to hold up strong for 20-40,000 mi running 12-13 psi on a 13g turbo.
 
140+ on all 4 would be considered "Good/Better" to me.

1g's usually have about 160 or 165 stock 2g's are a little higher stock
 
look carefully for a major difference in between the cylinders when doing a compression test, give it no more then 10psi + -

for instance:
140 - 142 - 139 - 145
its okay.

155 - 123 - 137 - 158
somethings wrong there.

although its hard to see this kind of numbers even on a high mileage motor, just a heads up.

Yep, very good advice. If I got the readings like in the second set of numbers (Cylinders 2 and 3 considerably lower than the others), I would suspect a blown headgasket, crossleaking between cylinders 2 and 3.
