A little bracket that goes from that stud and the stud right below it then over to the cas.

Yeah you could. It'll look a little ghetto but it will work.

And I think that bracket is there to kind of help support the intake manifold.

Double nut and pull that stud out and stick a full thread stud in there. Bracket is pointless, there to support the intake/engine when it was installed by the factory. Hit up the hardware store and buy a 3' section of threaded rod and nuts/lock washers that fit, should cost you a few bucks and then cut off 4 equal lengths and make your own studs. Better seal and easier wrenching.

That is where the "throttle body bracket" is supposed to be. Just pull the stud and put a new oem throttle body bolt in. 2g's don't have them don't see why 1gs would. I'd assume you have a boost leak at the throttle body considering you are missing the hardware.
