What ALL needs to be done to a 2g n/t eclipse when switching to the turbo motor?

I know this question has probably been asked before, but I couldn't find any actual relevant information to help me out. I have a 1997 eclipse non-turbo automatic. I have already replaced the engine once with a n/t and it has blown again. I've decided to scrap the bullcrap n/t motor and replace it with the turbo motor. What ALL needs to be changed, replaced, or altered to make the motor fit, run properly, and basically all in all make it "stock." I want to know the basic cost of what I'm looking into before I start with this project. I thank anyone who would be willing to do a somewhat step by step run-down of what needs to be done and possible costs of doing it. Thank you to all and thanks fo the space.

how did you blow a 420a twice? were you boosting? were they forged internals the second time?

Well the first time the headgasket blew and one of the cylinders were seized along with some other damage, so I said screw it all and replaced it. I replaced it with a junkyard motor...which isn't really a good idea, but I am poor so yea. I pushed it a lot kinda...but when it got screwed I was actually just doing the speed limit. So yea I dunno wtf I did to this motor, but it definitly is not good.

if your poor
your not going to be able to afford to swap a 4g63 into you car
but
if you want to know NOTHING bolts up....it would be best to buy a whole front clip from a turbo 2g cut yours off and weld the 2g turbo front clip on..

Well since it's broke and not running at all I can afford to do whatever to it.....Before I needed to have a running car in order to go to work and stuff....now I want to do things right.

^^ I'm going to have to agree.
See you are looking at way more money than a sensible person would be willing to spend throwing a 4g63 into a 2gnt. With the money you would have spent doing it, you could literally buy a 99 gsx with low miles (go look it up, around 13,000) it is way more trouble than it's worth for a shadetree mechanic. A very select few have actually succeeded in such a swap, and nearly a majority of them immediatly sold it and bought a already turboed car. Now if you cash flow is unlimited then yeah whatever blow your cash, but if you are wanting a good daily driver, fix that one, sell it , and get what you want. That is all

ask yourself these questions before you sell the N/T and buy a turbo....

Can you afford the Turbo insurance?
Will you be able to find a GS-T/GSX with descent mileage that wont blow up like your N/T did?

If you answer no to either of these ?s, then i suggest you rebuild your n/t motor with forged internals and a turbo kit, or go buy a honda

"Here are all of the costs of the swap (compliments of 2gnt )
1. 4G63 turbo engine (stock) $1500
2. transmission (stock GS-T FWD) $500
3. wiring harness for engine $300
4. 4G63 ECU (stock) $300
5. shift linkage $200
6. custom engine mounts $200
7. chassis cross member $100
8. complete exhaust $200
9. intercooler, turbo, related parts $500
10. boost gauge/fuel filter, etc $300
11. Installation $1500"

^^^^^^SEE that is way too much money
your looking at ABOUT $5600
if you want to do things right but a decent motor
You can buy one from a good salvage yard with a warrenty or look on ebay t osee what they have
swapping the 4g63T into a 2gnt is alot more than what it seems ALOT more
what exactly is wrong with your motor now????
Just re-build it with a re-build kit
THEN
turbo charge it

i think that the big issue is why do you keep blowing motors

the 420a is not as you so delicatly put it a bullcrap motor

even in its completely stock form it can handle more power than it originally came with
that is why you dont really need to change the internals until you get past stage 2 turbo

so no matter how hard you say you pushed it the motor would not just blow
there was a mechanical issue that should have been fixed first

so what happens when you spend all this money on a turbo
and it blows again

there comes a point in time where you have to ask
maybe its me

here we go again..both ways ur looking to spend a bit of money but it would be easier if ur so eager to get a 4g63 to fix ur N/T,sell it and buy a 4g63(i would go for the gsx).
