What all is needed to log for a 1g?

My buddy has a Palm that he wants to get rid of. He said its a M100 and comes with the cradle and Hotsync.(?) I don't know anything about palms or logging, but I've heard this palm works. Would the only other thing I need be a cable to hook up to my diagnostic port? Thanks in advance..sorry I'm retarded.

you dont gotta pay that much for a cable and software man, get ya a cable off ebay for 25 bucks. or here in the classifieds for 15. go to http://www.qcontinuum.org/obdgauge/index.htm or http://mmcdlogger.sourceforge.net/ and get the software for the palm. I just got a datalogger setup a week ago. ppl wanting 125 for a whole setup and what not here's how much I paid for mine

The software and cable might not be as good as pocketlogger but it gets the job done. and your saving over 100.00
