I recently bought a used ACT clutch kit from someone local. The problem is he pulled it out of a wrecked car and doesn't know which ACT clutch kit it is. It appears to be just a standard street disk. The pressure plate is yellow and clearly has ACT on it. Below the ACT lettering is the number 061116162 to the side of that is the lettering SFI with F004933. Also I keep hearing about shim the pivot bearing but am unsure if I should do that or not since its a used clutch. Any help on figuring out what pressure plate I have or whether or not to shim the pivot bearing would be appreciated. Below is a picture of the pressure plate.

You shouldn't need to shim the pivot ball unless the clutch is dragging and you already have tried every way possible to adjust the clutch.

Or are you asking how to shim it.

I was asking if I should shim it before I put the transmission back in as I've heard it helps with disengagement. So u would say not to worry about it?

I did it to mine only because I couldn't get my clutch to quit dragging (i though). Ended up my syncros are screwed.

Anyway, i honestly wouldn't do it unless the clutch is dragging and you already adjusted the linkage under the dash.
