Ok, I am going to run short route piping from the TB to the FMIC, I will be running the GM MAF, could I put the BOV on the turbo side of the IC piping? just wondering, thinking about room and just to have it peaking out so you can kinda see it, I have seen supras do it so i was just wondering, thanks for the help:thumb:

If your running the gm maf in blowthrough, technically you could put it anywhere between the turbo and the maf sensor. I havent seen too many people run the bov on that side of the intercooler but I dont really see why you wouldnt be able to do it.

The only down fall I see to it would be boost spikes in the intercooler causing problems. I have heard of ICs becoming over pressurized and bursting, but that usually occurs in extreme boost applications.

Technically you could put as many BOVs on the system as you want to and anywhere you want to.

Yes you can put it anywhere you would like...as long as it is after the MAF. Im running a blow thri with Dejon pipes, so mine was already located for me. You can put it next to the intercooler, so people can see it, and it would be uber loud. Ive seen it done on 240SX's and it looks pretty slick. Something different in the DSM world is also appreciated as well. Good luck man have fun with the new setup.

Thanks for the help and input:D I will post pics when this money draining project ends. But in the end it will be worth it, I can already tell:thumb:

If you want to vent your bov which I will assume you do you have to put the BOV BEFORE NOT AFTER the MAF.

really? thats what i was thinking at first but i didnt know, you sure I cant still do it??

oh damnit, yes thanks for the correction. Mine is before the MAF on my dejon pipe. oops.

It's cool man I put typos sometimes too I get to caught up in the content and helping a nother dsm guy. It's cool you told what he wanted to know and I think he knew what you meant I just wanted to clarrify:thumb:

I'm just curious exactly how effect the BOV would be if you put it on the hot side of the intercooler because look at it this way. The turbo is pushing air into the intercooler and piping in the direction of the throttle body, therefore filling up the intercooler and other pipes with air that is traveling one direction. If you put your BOV before the intercooler you would be making your air change directions to go out the BOV, there may not be any change at all but it is something to think about atleast.

I think this might be why Automobile manufacturers consistantly py bypass valves or BOV between the IC and the throttlebody... I've never personally had an IC explode. But I can see how it would be possible w/ the instantanious build up of pressure milisecons before the BOV releases.

Oh I think I see it the picture is realllll dark where the smic is which I take it that's where you put the bov.

Your gamma is too low for you to see. Here is a modded pic so you can see it. I think the position is killer looking. Good job.
