Went 13.42 at 101.25 with a 1.79 60'. Car just has 3'' catless turbo back, k&n filter and hallmen pro mbc set at 15psi. Still rocking 225/55/16 snow tires and a stock clutch.

Opinions?

Great job Tim..Umm just a couple questions, was the passenger headlight out? Also there is a plate behind that headlight you should remove..And everything else is stock, no weight reduction of any kind either?

Did you have your air can removed? I ran into a guy at the local track with a 1G Talon once and checked out his motor. He still had his air can on but with some unique vents cut into the metal.
He said the can actually helps to protect the intake from the hot air of the engine, and was adverse to removing it completely.

Not like you're going to gain a tenth or anything, but food for thought.

Invest in proper tires and you'll definitely be able to take down that 60' time.

And good run BTW!

yeah i took the air can completely out. And summer tires are coming soon just havnt got around to them yet. Although these winter tires arnt bad at all at the track

Taking out that plate alone actually helps keeps the cold air flowing into the air filter..There is actually a tech article on AIT(air intake temps) before and after the plate removal...It's pretty interesting..Ohh also there is a peice of plastic behind the passenger fof light that directs air into the IC..Make you you keep that there..
What are you launching at, rpm and boost?

It takes some practice. i know i learned well with brake boost at stop lights, trying to guess when the light would go green and what not. but i do not think you should try that. I got in trouble LOL. but practice it and you will bring your time down just a little.

This car is nearly stock launching without the help of a 2-step or antilag. All things considered, i think 1.79 is a very good 60'.

Yeah, 1.79 is awesome on a stock clutch. It won't last too much longer.
Keep the winter tires, they work great at the track. And on a stock turbo, you dont need any boost to launch it. 0 psi is just fine. The e-brake isn't for "brake boosting", its just for tightening up the drivetrain while getting ready to launch.

Slip the clutch to build boost.
