well just put together my first dsm

well about a month ago i bought a 95awd tsi for $1000,ran well but had small ideling problems and needed a passenger side door.i went and picked it up about 3.5hours away from home and it snapped a rod 10min after i drove off with it.drove back got the trailer and went and towed it home,found me a doner gst with beat up body and a good motor and did the swap this past weekend and got the tsi back up an runnin.mods so far:

cheap tubular header
not sure what turbo(just says .48ar on the case???)with xspower mbc only on 8-9 psi(not sure what it should be on)
hks cat-back
1g bov
small fmic
stage 2 clutch(pretty grabby)
short throw shifter
autometer boost gauge

and thats about it,all i really want out of this thing is a 12sec daily driver.im having a blast driving it around tho,very fun car!!!!

300zs are a nice car. I used to have one, but I blew the tranny on the freeway. Seemed kinda Sh*tty at the time to trade it for a 1g AWD, but I have not looked back since.

It's a t25, you should be familiar with what they can't do.

Set it at 15 psi. Anything higher then that and it's just blowing hot air.

Get a dowpipe and o2 semsor housing when you get a chance. There's only so much you can do with the t25, but that and a better intake is about all you would need to add to max out the car's performance with it. You'll definitely notice the difference if you pick those up.

I wouldn't bother. They both use a crappy "accordion" style hose to connect the filter to the turbo inlet and they both use an enclosed style filter. If you plan on using the t25 for awhile, just get a cheap pipe that matches the inlet and a k&n cone filter. I'll find you a link for one or you can suffer a little on the install, but still ultimately get a working one from ebay for as low as $50.

oh i thought you were talking about the intake manifold but yea those dejon products look pretty nice.

The stock intake manifold isn't a major restriction at the point you're at considering how much an aftermarket one would cost you. The 1g one is better, but the head has to be ported to match.

i see.i have a spare head,1g mani and some other parts to.might just save them to do some home porting on.have some experience in that field but on v8 heads.

I personally wouldn't bother, but if you're experienced with it and have the spare parts, then go for it.
